There are three steps to creating a successful business. Decide, Commit, and Act.
Decide, Commit, and Act. Sounds easy but it is not easy to start a business and create the success you are hoping for, which is why these three elements must be in place. Step One: DecideThe first step to creating success is to make the decision to do so. That does not mean your fears will disappear but it does mean you have made a decision. There is no plan B. If you have a plan B you have not decided to succeed. This may seem minor but it is huge. Your success depends on your decision to create it. To decide means to determine; to form a definite opinion; to come to a conclusion. Step One is to come to a definite conclusion. There are no options, only to succeed. • Clear It should be easily crystal clear for you. • Evokes Emotions You will not succeed without the passion to do so. You decision must stir your emotions. • Inspires Action If you are truly passionate about your decision it will inspire you to take action even when things are tough and you don’t feel like it. Step Two: CommitmentIt is one thing to make a decision but if you are not committed to that decision you will fall down. You must really, really, really desire what you are going after. That desire will keep you engaged. If you do not have that deep down desire that creates whatever it takes mentally you will give up. Starting your own business is not easy work but it is incredibly satisfying work. You will give up when things get tough if you are not fully committed. The desire to succeed must be stronger than your fear of failure. If you can envision you succeeding, you see yourself benefitting from the success, see others respond to your success and live in that vision, you will have a commitment to succeeding. Step Three: ActionYou cannot be attached to the how. The how is not as important as simply taking action. If you don’t believe you can reach your dream you will allow the how to prevent you from moving forward. You must begin taking action and the how will become clearer. Begin your research, start talking about what you are creating, ignore any negative comments, create your plan and take action. As you begin putting the steps in place to create what you want you will recognize opportunities for training, learning, resources, and people that will support you on your journey. If you have made a decision and committed to that decision, then you must take consistent action. Have fun, stay engaged and create a successful business.
